The "Knot" So Simple Way to Launch a Boat Machine

A LIVE build Rube Goldberg Machine....is that even possible?! It sure was!! This machine was genuinely built in front of a live audience, tested daily at 4pm, over the course of the Seattle Boat Show event, all with the "simple" task of launching a boat! With a total of x8 LIVE performances, we're proud to report the machine had a 50% success rate!! Virtually unheard of in the world of chain reactions to be SO successful.....in fact, the official machine video seen here was captured on the VERY FIRST TAKE, an absolute first!  

Visitors who attended the nine-day Seattle Boat Show at Lumen Field Events Center witnessed this creation of a boating-related chain reaction machine. Each day, the machine was ever-evolving, increasingly in complexity, piece by piece, until its full function was revealed in spectacular fashion at the end of the show. Boaters can spot many marine-related items in the construction, and all told, the machine spanned 100ft, incorporating 3000sqft, and over $125,000 worth of donations towards the construction. with a section hovering over an aisle walkway, all of which to Launch "A" Boat...you'll just have to see for yourself WHICH boat we're referring to...

Additional Info: This machine featured an audience "participation" portion whereby an escaping salmon slapped an audience member in the face! Nearly every news outlet in Seattle came out to witness this incredible machine being built before everyone's eyes. The machine itself was almost entirely impromptu style building, with little more than a rough sketch with ideas to go off of. Vendors from around the show continuously donated items throughout the event to create this wonderful contraption.
